Think I broke the second toe of my left foot. Tripped over my brother's luggage bin yesterday. Why he has to use hard sided containers when my sister and I use actual cloth bags...I dunno. So I tripped over it and landed on my foot wrong. Can't bend the toe at all without very sharp pain. And of course my parents are saying I am fine and don't be a baby. It freaking hurts.

Today it is all bruised and still hurts. Gotta tape it up and pray it heals in the next 11 days or my Disney vacation will be a bitch.

Thermometer in my car read 110. It's way too early for this kind of weather.

Got my car back today and it only cost me $479. I was afraid I had seriously damaged my engine by overheating it. Turns out I melted the radiator overflow tank, according to my mechanic it's basically a fancy milk jug. So it melted, I lost all my coolant, my engine overheated and basically shut down. The brown smoke I was seeing was my coolant venting away.

So got the tank replaced, my radiator cap and had my oil changed because it was fouled with antifreeze. No engine damage at all which shocked my mechanic. Apparently it cut out just in the nick of time. I got so lucky.

Started out by getting stuck in traffic while trying to get to The Pavilion now renamed the Hard Rock Pavilion formerly Journal Pavilion to see Tim McGraw in concert. I am not a country fan but I love Tim McGraw. Idling while sitting on a 6-7% grade...not good for engines. As we were pulling into the parking lot my temp gauge went red meaning my car was overheating. No prob I thought since it was going to be parked for the next 4-5 hours.

Get into the concert, go to the bathroom to find that half the stalls were out of commission and the other half were well on their way to backing up. Awesome. But I had to pee so I braved it. Lady Antebellum opened and they were fabulous. Then a bunch of drunk people sat next to us and invaded my personal space. One guy tried to grind against me. Now if it had been a hot cowboy...I would have been all hell yeah. But it was a drunk douchbag so he got an elbow to the gut. 2 seconds longer and I would have decked him. Then they kept switching places and one guy said I needed a beer. I was like...hell no. One girl was nice and kept apologizing for their behavior. Finally they left.

After that I had a great time. Tim puts on an excellent show and he has a very talented group of musicians backing him. I even knew a few songs they played and I really enjoyed the show.

Leaving the show we sat in the parking lot for a good half hour before I even started my car to leave. Didn't take long since most of the traffic had left. However driving home my check engine light came on. Luckily it was near my exit so I thought I could make it. Nope...got off the freeway to a stoplight and my car died and started to spew greasy brown smoke. Few minutes later a cop came up behind me and gave me a push to a gas station out of traffic. And when I say push I don't mean we physically pushed my car...he used his cop car to move it...bumper to bumper. It was a bit of a trick to do so since I had no power steering but we made it.

Course calling my insurance was a chore since every option I chose wanted me to buy new insurance. Finally was able to get to roadside assistance...where they could find no record of our membership. *headdesk* Then they asked for my DADs SSN. Ummmm...no clue and he is on vacation right now. Finally they were able to find it and it took a tow truck 40 minutes to get there after I was told it would only take 20-30. Did I mention I had to pee again? Luckily the driver was nice and professional and they sent a flatbed out first time so kudos to them.

Now my car is sitting outside my mechanics waiting for them to open in the morning. My dad is going to love getting that phonecall..."my car is dead and at the shop". Luckily I have a good mechanic who works magic....expensive magic but it's magic.

So my night wasn't all bad...great concert...drunk idiots and a broken car. What else can go wrong right? *knocks on wood*

So some online friends of mine and I started a tongue in cheek advice blog.

http://www.dishescanwait.com/

Check it out...submit a question and get a crazy answer...or not in return. You can also follow us on Facebook. There should be a link.

Check out the bios and try to guess who I am. Though it is probably pretty obvious.

Lets add injury to insult.

My side is still hurting...no surprise there.

However today I became a klutz of epic proportion. I was carrying my laundry, purse and laptop bag to my car when I stepped off the sidewalk in front of my building wrong. And into a hole that houses a sprinkler head. Can you guess what happened next? If you guessed I twisted my ankle, lost my footing and fell on my laptop...you would be correct. Have a double scoop of ice cream on me.

So I picked myself up and continued on my way. By the way no one saw it happen nor did I cry out...to shocked to be falling I guess. Got home and my shoulder was killing me...though I was more concerned about my laptop. It's fine by the way...no damage. Told my mom and she just shook her head. However as I was leaving...with tons of loot from the house. A two shelf bookcase and an end table just the right size for my laptop for starters. She gives me a baggie of vicodin left over from her root canal. She wasn't going to take them so figured she would give them to me. All they really do is make me sleepy so I figure half before bed and I will be able to sleep without too much pain.

Why me?

So I want to cry right now.

I have been having pain in my left side for the past couple of weeks. It comes and goes on it's own with no real schedule or trigger. I was thinking perhaps a mild kidney infection and loaded up on water. Today I finally went to urgent care at the insistence of coworkers who apparently were sick of my whining. So I go and the triage nurse has me pee in a cup. Ok...I can handle that, probably checking for a UTI or something similar. Comes back with trace amounts of blood in the sample. So the doc who was seeing me suspected kidney stones. So sends me for x-rays. X-rays comes back clean. Doc thinks I am simply constipated and recommends a laxative and tells me to have a good night. He mentioned diverticulitis as a possibility but since I didn't have a fever when they took my temp in triage he didn't consider it an option.

Ummm what? First of all if you are taking a laxative...you can't have a good night. And what about my pain? It's still there. But nope that was the end of it and I came home.

Plus I really want to talk to my mom but no one is picking up the house phone and neither she or my dad are picking up their cell phones or even responding to text messages. That really makes me want to cry.

So work has been very busy lately. Our inventory went through the roof after Thanksgiving and I went in today to find out for some reason we had 9000 claims that were over 25 days in age. Holy Hell that is not good. But the thing that got me, all the claims I saw were outpatient hospital claims that were coded incorrectly. They were all coded as inpatient which was causing them to reject. All that needed to be done was change one number in the code and they would go through. Someone scanning the claims was being lazy because every claim I got had the same user number on it.

But then I got home and saw this, even though it is a bit old and my day got better.

So on Friday since it was payday I decided to get some new tunes from Amazon. Let me just say I love Amazon's MP3 download service. The songs are unedited unlike stupid Walmart and the are reasonably priced. So I got two singles and one album. And just let me say I am woefully behind in my music purchases.

The first song was "Love Drunk" by Boys Like Girls. I really like this song. It has catchy lyrics and a good beat. A fun song to listen to.

The second song was "Good Girls Go Bad" by Cobra Starship featuring Leighton Meester. Now until I looked her up on Wikipedia I had no clue who Leighton Meester was. And I still have no clue because I don't watch any shows on the WB. I love this song, just a fun dance song. However the only negative is Leighton. I just don't think her voice is anything special. It's your typical pop voice. Nothing really stands out about it.

The album I bought was Hinder's 2007 re-release of Extreme Behavior. I love Hinder, I love their sound. Takes me back to the hair bands of the 80's. This version of the album has a cover of "Born to Be Wild". One of the greatest rock songs ever. And I love their version. I just love Hinder, what more can be said?

I got a new computer. It is very shiny. My old one was dying a slow death. It was at the point I could hear it think and mostly it was thinking that it didn't want to work. So I ordered a new one from HP and it came Friday with a shiny new monitor to boot. Took both to my Dad's house to set up. I almost threw my back out picking up my old monitor...it was a 17in CRT. Yeah...heavy.

Got to the house...set everything up, plugged everything in, turn on the new computer and...nothing. No picture nothing. Spent forever figuring it out only to realize...we plugged the monitor into the wrong place. There are 3 spots on the back you could plug it in...but only one actually works. Where is the sense in that?

So got it setup and did the whole Windows Easy Transfer thing...and yes it was very easy. Did it all over the network. Wish the WET Companion hadn't been pulled by Microsoft...could have transferred my programs as well. Now I have to reinstall everything.

I ordered a new computer from HP yesterday.

Mine is 6 years old, never been upgraded. Getting to the point where I can hear it think, and the fan is rather noisy.

So by early June I will have a brand new computer. WOOT!!!

So I just saw a preview on NBC for a show starting this summer called Merlin. Is this the same show they are showing across the pond? Is it finally coming over here?

Anyone know?
